Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Hartford, CT)

Cedar Kestrel Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Hartford, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our multi-state payroll. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
