Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Charlotte, NC)

Fernwood Beacon Staffing is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on multi-state payroll for retention, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system.
