Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Ridge Construction is a Birmingham contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
