Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Virginia Beach, VA)

Highbridge Beacon Staffing Group connects candidates and employers across the Virginia Beach region. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of about 406 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
