Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (remote)

Fernwood Junction Construction Group is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on hourly payroll for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 67 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
