Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (remote)

Silverline Sparrow Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
