Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Providence, RI)

Northwind Union Banking Services is a regional lender in Providence with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
