Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Portland, OR)

Amberfield Kestrel Financial is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on hourly payroll for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
