Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Minneapolis, MN)

Fernwood Quill Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Minneapolis serving households and small businesses, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
