Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Madison, WI)

Cedar Ridge Construction is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on hourly payroll for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 920 people based in Madison. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
