Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Hartford, CT)

Summit Vale Financial is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on hourly payroll for regulatory reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification.
