Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove Nest Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Detroit, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
