Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Corner Construction Group delivers building projects for owners across the Chicago region, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
