Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Summit Iron Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boston. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
