Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Rowan Banking Services and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
