Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Nova Umber Banking Services and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
