Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Anchorage, AK)

Summit Ember Staffing is a Anchorage staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
