Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Northwind Banking Services and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be benefit deductions. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
