Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Cedar Banking Services is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
