Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (San Antonio, TX)

Northwind Ember Construction is a San Antonio contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
