Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Summit North Staffing connects candidates and employers across the El Paso region. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
