Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Summit Kestrel Financial Group serves customers across New Orleans with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
