Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Lumen Amber Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Jackson, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
