Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Summit Union Banking Services Partners is a community-focused bank in Grand Rapids serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
