Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Harborlight Maple Staffing is a Oakland staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
