Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Rivermark Nest Financial is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for customer onboarding, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
