Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Vista Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be benefit deductions. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
