Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Westbrook Kestrel Staffing is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for candidate screening, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 242 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
