Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

Summit Vale Financial is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
