Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Ember Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be benefit deductions. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
