Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Madison, WI)

Bluepeak Iron Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Madison, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. You would join a small organisation of about 120 people based in Madison. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
