Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Jacksonville, FL)

Bluepeak Quarry Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Jacksonville serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
