Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Houston, TX)

Silverline Meadow Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Houston, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. You would join a small organisation of about 67 people based in Houston. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
