Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Charlotte, NC)

Cedar Nest Financial serves customers across Charlotte with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on benefit deductions. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
