Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Charlotte, NC)

Lumen Meridian Banking Services is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
