Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Nova Beacon Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be benefit deductions. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
