Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Buffalo, NY)

Summit Kestrel Staffing Group is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on benefit deductions for onboarding, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 176 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
