Operations Manager - vendor management (Wichita, KS)

Fernwood Juniper Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Wichita, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 68 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for client sites and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
