Operations Manager - vendor management (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Logistics and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with packing house output. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
