Operations Manager - vendor management (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Northwind Solutions and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
