Operations Manager - vendor management (Virginia Beach, VA)

Nova West Foods is a Virginia Beach food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
