Operations Manager - vendor management (Toledo, OH)

Westbrook Quarry Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 591 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Toledo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
