Operations Manager - vendor management (Toledo, OH)

Fernwood Mill Foods produces packaged foods at its Toledo plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
