Operations Manager - vendor management (Spokane, WA)

Summit Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Spokane. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 147 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
