Operations Manager - vendor management (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Meridian Foods Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
