Operations Manager - vendor management (Savannah, GA)

Amberfield Sparrow Freight Partners is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 946 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
