Operations Manager - vendor management (San Jose, CA)

Silverline Fern Environmental Services Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 190 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Track performance measures for fleet maintenance and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
