Operations Manager - vendor management (San Jose, CA)

Amberfield Lantern Construction Group is a San Jose contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for safety records and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
