Operations Manager - vendor management (San Diego, CA)

Harborlight Field Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
