Operations Manager - vendor management (Sacramento, CA)

Northwind Vista Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Sacramento plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
